What actually decides whether it works
Price is the easy part. These are the points that decide whether the product passes inspection and sells off the shelf.
Plumbing and electrical items need approval
Most municipalities require plumbing components on the water supply, like taps, valves and geysers, to carry the relevant South African approval, and electrical fittings have their own requirements. We confirm the position for each product before quoting.
This line pays by the container
A few boxes of tiles are cheaper locally once freight is counted. A development, a contractor's stock or a hardware store's container is where factory-direct pricing makes the difference.
Ask the grade, the batch and the slip rating
Tiles vary by grade and by production batch, and a mixed batch shows on the floor. Order the whole project from one batch, with spares, and check the slip rating for wet areas.
Plan for breakage in transit
Sanitaryware, tiles and glass break at sea. Ask for export packing, order a small overage, and agree in writing how the supplier handles breakage.
Windows and roofing must suit your wind
Aluminium windows and roof sheeting must be rated for the wind in your area. Ask the manufacturer for the ratings and check them against your plans.
You're trading the dealer network for the price
That's the honest trade. There is no local brand warranty desk. Order spares with the shipment — cartridges, seals, hinges — and choose products on common sizes that local plumbers and builders can fit.

Is it cheaper to import tiles and sanitaryware?
By the container, often yes; for a single house, usually not once freight and breakage are counted. Tell us the quantities and we give you an honest landed comparison.
Are your taps and geysers approved?
We confirm the approval position for each plumbing and electrical product before quoting. Products that cannot be approved here are not worth importing.
Can I mix products in one container?
Yes. Tiles, sanitaryware, doors and hardware can be combined, from one or several suppliers, and consolidated by our forwarder.
What happens if items break in transit?
We order export packing and a small overage, and agree the supplier's breakage policy in writing before the order, not after.
